About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer for the Ultrasound Department at Baptist South in Jacksonville, Florida. This PRN role performs advanced imaging to support exceptional patient care, assist physicians, and promote patient safety and comfort. The position is located in the South - Main Building at 14550 Old St Augustine Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32258. Baptist Health is a locally governed, faith-based, not-for-profit health system serving Northeast Florida through more than 200 locations and six hospitals. Its centers of excellence include Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, Baptist Heart Hospital, Baptist Neurological Institute, and Wolfson Children's Hospital. The posting advertises an eligible sign-on bonus of up to $1,500.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience working in a hospital setting.
- 1–2 years of hospital-based, department-specific work experience.
- Ultrasound experience.
- Experience with vascular ultrasound.
- 1–2 years of customer service experience.
- Vocational school education.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- If hired, obtain certification in sonography from ARDMS or ARRT (S), and RVT or ARRT (VS) or RVS, within 12 months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) certification preferred.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification preferred.
- Registered Technologist in Sonography (ARRT) certification preferred.
- Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) certification from CCI–Cardiovascular preferred.
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification from ARDMS preferred.
