Diagnostic Imaging Veterinary Technician I/II (CARE)
About The Position
The University of Florida Veterinary Hospitals is seeking a motivated technician to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. In this role, you will perform high quality imaging across multiple modalities, including radiography (digital, portable, and interventional), Fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. You’ll support both small and large animal services in a fast paced teaching hospital and work closely with Radiologists, Residents, and other skilled technicians. This is a CARE position offering limited benefits, including health insurance and paid time off. When appropriate certifications are achieved, promotional opportunities to a level II title may be available. This position will also become eligible for transition into a TEAMS (staff) salary plan. This position is eligible for Veteran’s preference.
Requirements
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Radiologic Technologist (RT)
- Strong imaging skills and interest in veterinary patients
- Excellent communication and teamwork
- Positive, proactive attitude
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs, bend, kneel, pull, push, twist and stand for an extended period of time.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with radiographic imaging
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician OR Registered Radiological Technologist
Responsibilities
