About The Position

Responsible for receiving patients, collecting demographic and insurance information, verifying insurance coverage and authorization for services, and accurately entering data into multiple computer systems to complete the outpatient Imaging Services admission process. The role discusses financial responsibility with patients, maintains accurate patient account information, verifies insurance, and obtains authorizations and referrals. The position requires learning and retaining a broad base of knowledge about examinations and making quick, independent decisions using good judgment. Contacts include patients, families, referring physicians, and their office staff.

Requirements

High school graduation or equivalent.
At least one year of office or reception experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Ability to learn and retain a broad base of knowledge concerning examinations.
Ability to make quick, independent decisions using good judgment.
Service-oriented approach and ability to communicate empathetically and respectfully with patients, families, physicians, and office staff.
