About The Position

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist combines relationship development, referral outreach, and patient growth initiatives. The specialist serves as an ambassador for the organization’s diagnostic imaging services by developing relationships with referring providers and healthcare professionals, explaining available services, and identifying opportunities to increase appropriate imaging referrals. The role is suited to someone comfortable interacting with physicians, healthcare organizations, and prospective referral partners.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain professional relationships with physicians, clinics, healthcare organizations, athletic organizations, employers, and other potential referral sources.
Educate referring providers and their staff about available MRI and diagnostic imaging services, capabilities, scheduling, turnaround times, and patient experience.
Conduct regular outreach visits and follow up with referral partners.
Identify potential referral opportunities and communicate them to leadership.
Represent the organization professionally at physician offices, healthcare events, community events, and other appropriate settings.
Assist with presentations, educational materials, and outreach initiatives to increase awareness of diagnostic imaging services.
Gather feedback from referring providers and patients and communicate improvement opportunities to leadership.
Track outreach activities, referral relationships, and business development opportunities as requested.
Collaborate with leadership and marketing personnel to develop strategies for increasing appropriate imaging volume.
Help identify barriers that may prevent physicians or patients from using the imaging services and assist in developing solutions.
Maintain relationships with existing referral sources while cultivating new relationships.
