About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a passionate, full-time Diabetes Education Dietitian to join our collaborative, multi-disciplinary team at Erlanger Endocrinology Center in Chattanooga, TN. This impactful outpatient role offers the opportunity to work directly with patients, empowering them to take control of their health through individualized nutrition care and diabetes management support. Requirements

  • Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
  • In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
  • In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
  • 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Previous diabetes education experience is preferred
  • CDCES certification is not required

Responsibilities

  • Empower clients to achieve life changing goals who are currently experiencing diabetes
  • Provide individualized education to clients through evidence-based nutrition care in the specialized area of diabetes
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to recommend, implement, and monitor nutrition interventions with overall improvement in clinical outcomes
  • Provide professional staff education to ensure the safe management and care of clients and families
  • Participate in quality improvement projects and regulatory compliance within the department
  • Work toward obtaining CDCES
