About The Position

The Lead ensures facility operations follow policies and procedures, coordinates daily operations by delegating assignments and guiding team members, and provides supervision at an assigned location when the Manager is not present. The role demonstrates established standards to keep buildings and facilities clean and safe for workers and customers. It involves operating specialized equipment, handling cleaning chemicals, and supporting general janitorial duties as needed. This role may suit someone entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education. ABM welcomes veterans and candidates with military experience.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

One year of similar work experience.
One year of customer service experience.
One year of lead or supervisory experience.
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Complete any additional certifications or training required for the site type.
Follow assigned work schedules and route cards, and report barriers.
Provide leadership and direction to team members.
Maintain open communication between field employees and management, and monitor and document client communications.
Assist with preparing daily and weekly work schedules.
Oversee and perform cleaning operations in the assigned building.
Take care of keys and access cards for the property.
Report damaged, broken, or out-of-work features and items.
Oversee and perform additional service requests (tag jobs) in the assigned building.
Oversee job quality and confirm completion with the Area Manager.
Train new hires assigned to the building in accordance with onboarding procedures.
Complete and validate time records for regular or subcontractor employees.
Check supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly.
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
