About The Position

The Lead Janitorial Cleaner coordinates daily operations at an assigned facility by delegating work assignments, providing guidance, and supervising the location when the Manager is absent. The role demonstrates established standards for keeping buildings and facilities clean and safe for workers and customers. It involves operating specialized equipment, handling cleaning chemicals, and assisting with general janitorial duties as needed.

The position provides leadership and direction to team members, supports communication between field employees and management, oversees cleaning operations and service requests, and helps ensure work quality and completion. It also includes training new hires, validating time records, managing property keys and access cards, and checking supplies, equipment, and chemicals.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A high school diploma, GED, or college degree is not required.

Nice To Haves

• One year of similar work experience.
• One year of customer service experience.
• One year of lead or supervisory experience.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Follow assigned work schedules and route cards, and report any barriers.
• Provide leadership and direction to team members.
• Maintain open communication between field employees and management, and monitor and document client communications.
• Assist with preparing daily and weekly work schedules.
• Oversee and perform cleaning operations in the assigned building.
• Take care of keys and access cards for the property.
• Report damaged, broken, or out-of-work features and items.
• Oversee and perform additional service requests (tag jobs) in the assigned building.
• Oversee job quality and confirm completion with the Area Manager.
• Train new hires assigned to the building in accordance with onboarding procedures.
• Complete and validate time records for regular or subcontractor employees.
• Check supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly.
• Complete any additional certifications or training needed for the site type.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
