About The Position

Lead EPAM's platform engineering team and partner with client technology leadership to modernize a .NET insurance platform. The role shapes CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and release practices to help move a monolith toward a scalable, service-oriented architecture and improve stability. The position combines long-term platform improvement initiatives with ongoing development requests, production deployment and operational work, and technical leadership.

Requirements

  • Proven experience building Azure environments from scratch with Terraform, including modules, state management, and CI/CD-driven deployments.
  • Hands-on expertise with Azure services such as App Services, Key Vault, Cosmos DB, networking, and Identity.
  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines for build, release, and deployment automation.
  • Practical knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerized workloads.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and Application Insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to migrate manually built infrastructure to infrastructure as code without a production outage.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead as a technical lead or architect.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the platform engineering team and partner with client technology leadership to define and deliver long-term improvement initiatives alongside ongoing development requests.
  • Design shared, versioned CI/CD pipeline templates with embedded quality and security gates, and run build-once release promotion through Test, Staging, PreProd, and Production with approvals and rollback.
  • Execute weekly and off-cycle production deployments, including database releases and post-deployment checks, and coordinate with release management on readiness and go/no-go decisions.
  • Build reusable infrastructure-as-code modules, automate templated environment provisioning, remediate drift, and decommission legacy environments.
  • Strengthen identity, access, and security through secrets and key management, access request handling, and cloud-resource hardening.
  • Drive root-cause analysis and remediation of platform incidents, and maintain operational runbooks, knowledge transfer, and a managed intake process for unplanned work.
