About The Position

Exadel is an AI-first global technology company with more than 25 years of engineering leadership, over 2,000 team members, and more than 500 active projects. The role supports a client that is one of the Big Four accounting firms and the world’s largest professional services network. The client’s team designs, develops, and deploys enterprise technology and AI-driven tools that support tax services, combining expertise in tax, software engineering, change management, and project management. The DevOps Architect designs and guides Azure-hosted cloud solutions, ensuring they meet business and technical requirements and are highly available, scalable, reliable, secure, and performant. The role serves as the Azure Cloud Champion for application development and DevOps teams, works with architecture, DevSecOps, and cybersecurity colleagues on security and infrastructure reviews, and guides teams in integrating cloud solutions. It also covers cloud monitoring and optimization, cost management, disaster recovery, documentation, vendor coordination, and reporting on service performance and cost trends. The architect mentors junior colleagues and supports teams through technical guidance and proof-of-concept work. The expected compensation range is $75–$85 per hour USD, with potential eligibility for commission, bonus, or other incentives where applicable. The role is open to candidates residing in the United States. U.S. work experience is not required. The offer is not binding until a signed contract is in place.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Extensive experience designing, developing, and deploying cloud architecture.
Expertise in the Azure Cloud platform, including PaaS offerings such as AKS, Azure SQL, APIM, and Azure Service Bus.
Experience with cloud-native technologies, including containers such as Docker and Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.
Strong knowledge of networking, security, and database management in cloud environments.
Knowledge of source code management concepts, including code lines, branching, merging, integration, and versioning.
Ability to translate traditional SDLC phases—plan, code, build, test, release, deploy, and monitor—into agile development phases when writing software to automate cloud architecture-related tasks.
Intermediate+ English level.

Nice To Haves

Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect certification.
Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

Design Azure-hosted solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
Create highly available, scalable, reliable, and secure cloud environments and ensure optimal performance.
Act as the Azure Cloud Champion for the application development and DevOps teams.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and firm policies.
Work with application architects, DevSecOps, and the Cyber Team to review security questionnaires.
Guide DevOps and development teams to support smooth integration of cloud solutions.
Organize and coordinate infrastructure architecture reviews as needed.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
Liaise with vendors and cloud providers to ensure proper delivery of services.
Monitor cloud systems to ensure they meet performance benchmarks and security requirements.
Optimize cloud resources and costs through automation and monitoring.
Implement disaster recovery strategies and ensure high availability of cloud resources.
Maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
Report on cloud service performance and cost trends.
Produce proof-of-concept work to support development and DevOps teams.
Translate traditional SDLC phases into agile development phases when writing software to automate cloud architecture-related tasks.
