About The Position

The DevOps & Systems Engineer is responsible for the reliability, security, automation, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing administration of the company's cloud and internal technology infrastructure. The role is the primary technical resource for Microsoft Azure infrastructure and DevOps operations, while also supporting internal servers, networking, hardware, identity, backups, and other systems-engineering responsibilities. The engineer works closely with software development, data engineering, security, and business technology teams to ensure applications and infrastructure are deployed consistently, monitored effectively, secured appropriately, and designed for scalability and high availability. The position emphasizes automation and repeatability over manual administration, using the company's technical direction of Azure PaaS services, PowerShell automation, Infrastructure as Code, Azure DevOps/Git-based CI/CD, Azure Monitor, and Application Insights. Responsibilities include managing Azure services and environments; building and improving CI/CD pipelines; automating infrastructure provisioning and administrative tasks; monitoring and troubleshooting production systems; administering Windows and internal infrastructure; supporting identity, access, and networking; maintaining backups and disaster-recovery capabilities; applying security practices; monitoring cloud costs and capacity; documenting systems and procedures; supporting third-party integrations; and participating in scheduled maintenance and, when necessary, after-hours support. The position requires hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and production environments, along with experience in DevOps, cloud or systems engineering, Azure administration, CI/CD, Windows infrastructure, PowerShell, networking, monitoring, backup and recovery, and security fundamentals. A bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience is required. The position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear, and frequently to stand, walk, handle or feel with hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. Immigration sponsorship or work-authorization support is not offered for this role.
