The DevOps Engineer will join the EIT DevOps team and support multiple applications, CI/CD pipelines, and OpenShift workloads. The role focuses on hands-on troubleshooting, automation, and reliable operation of container platforms and deployment processes. The primary toolchain is Bitbucket, Jenkins, Ansible, XLR, and OpenShift. The engineer will work with application and development teams to onboard services, integrate applications with the CI/CD platform, and standardize existing services and deployment patterns. Responsibilities also include automating repetitive work, addressing vulnerabilities, and improving performance and reliability. Production support may be needed, including occasional weekend deployment support, though weekend work is described as the exception rather than the rule. The position requires a technically hands-on person who can independently configure, deploy, support, and troubleshoot workloads in OpenShift/Kubernetes environments and resolve CI/CD issues rather than primarily coordinating processes or escalating problems. The engineer will work across multiple infrastructure automation needs in a fast-paced environment.
