About The Position

Conch Technologies Inc. is seeking a DevOps Engineer with strong Terraform coding skills for a 12+ month contract role in Phoenix, AZ. This is a W2 position, and H1 visas are not accepted. The ideal candidate will be a proficient Terraform coder/developer capable of writing and managing Terraform code for cloud environments, specifically AWS or Azure. Experience with GCP best practices is also beneficial. The role involves planning, designing, and developing applications on the cloud, with a focus on AWS, including disaster recovery design. Prior experience with automated build pipelines and continuous integration is expected. Familiarity with tools like TFLint, Terrascan, and Terragrunt, as well as Terraform Registry, is a plus. The position requires experience writing Terraform modules for various AWS services (S3, SNS, SQS, RDS, EC2, EKS, Lambdas) and configuring remote state management using S3 and DynamoDB. Candidates should have a proven track record of writing Terraform code for critical production systems and should not be novices learning the technology.

Requirements

  • Very strong Terraform coding skills.
  • Experience writing Terraform code for critical Production Systems.
  • Strong with Terraform commands, best practices, deployments, debugging, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiar with GCP best practices and recommendations to set up, configure, and manage at the enterprise level.
  • Ability to design applications on AWS, taking advantage of disaster-recovery design guidelines.
  • Prior experience in an automated build pipeline and continuous integration.
  • Experience with the AWS Provider of Terraform.
  • Experience configuring Remote State management using S3 and DynamoDB.

Nice To Haves

  • HashiCorp Certification is a huge plus.
  • Candidates should have experience as a plus with tools such as TFLint, Terrascan, TerraGrunt.
  • Exp with Terraform Registry.

Responsibilities
