About The Position

General Atomics Integrated Intelligence, Inc. (GA-Intelligence), an affiliate of General Atomics, maintains and deploys production systems for users across the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and commercial industry. We build and develop best-in-class all domain and globally focused situational awareness capabilities that process petabytes of data from numerous streaming data sources in near real time. Our systems apply state-of-the-art algorithms and machine learning techniques to extract features and fuse data from multiple phenomenologies to form a rich live view of objects in the sky, on the sea, and on the ground. These analytics are designed to determine not just where something is, but what it is, where it's been and what it's doing. All of this "data to knowledge" is made available to end users in our own browser-based application for visualization, analysis, and understanding. GA-Intelligence is looking for an experienced Cleared DevOps Engineer to manage the configuration, deployment and maintenance of one or multiple environments. The ability to maintain a production system in a high uptime environment is a key success factor. Requirements

Typically requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and five years of related experience.
Experience with deployment technologies, such as Kubernetes (K8s) for container orchestration.
Experience with metrics monitoring and dashboards (Grafana).
Understanding of user access practices and security controls within a system.
Understanding of system administration in various OS environments.
Strong knowledge of configuration management tools.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Understanding of software development lifecycle best practices.
Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
Able to work extended hours as required.

Nice To Haves

Understanding of AWS services and cloud management.
Experience executing against database technologies.
Experience with configuration management tools (Puppet).
Continuous integration processes and tools such as Jenkins.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaboration tools.
System monitoring and analysis.
Familiarity with Intelligence Community and DoD mission sets.
CompTIA Security+ certification or willingness to get certified.

Responsibilities

Maintaining development, testing, and production environments.
Building and deploying automation, monitoring, and analysis solutions.
Managing continuous integration and delivery pipeline to maximize efficiency.
Implementing industry best practices for system hardening and configuration management.
Developing and maintaining solutions for operational administration, system/data backup, disaster recovery, and security/performance monitoring.
Continuously evaluating existing systems with industry standards, and making recommendations for improvement.
Building and maintaining tools, solutions and microservices associated with deployment and our operations platform, ensuring that all meet our customer service standards and reduce errors.
Testing system integrity, implemented designs, application developments and other processes related to infrastructure, making improvements as needed.
Managing code deployments, fixes, updates and related processes.
Working with open-source technologies as needed.
Working with CI/ CD tools, and source control such as GIT and SVN.
Offering technical support where needed, developing software for our back-end systems.
Staying current with industry trends and source new ways for our business to improve.
