About The Position
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Cloud Engineer with a strong focus on AWS ECS Fargate cloud migration. The role involves leveraging AWS Cloud & Architecture best practices, including the Well Architected Framework, VPC, IAM, Load Balancers, CloudWatch, and ECS. You will be responsible for developing and deploying applications using AWS CDK with TypeScript, containerizing .NET applications with Docker, and implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions. Proficiency in core programming languages like TypeScript, JavaScript, C#, and .NET Core is essential. Experience with Datadog for observability and monitoring, container security best practices, and database management with Amazon RDS are also key aspects of this role. The position requires Agile/Scrum delivery experience and the ability to create comprehensive documentation such as architecture diagrams and runbooks.

Responsibilities
- Perform AWS ECS Fargate cloud migrations.
- Implement and manage AWS Cloud & Architecture components including VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, Security Groups, NACLs, IAM roles, policies, task roles, execution roles, Application Load Balancer (ALB), Target Groups, health checks, CloudWatch metrics, logs, alarms, ECS Clusters, Services, Task Definitions, and ECS Service Autoscaling.
- Optimize Fargate CPU/memory utilization.
- Manage secrets using SSM Parameter Store & Secrets Manager.
- Implement Rolling and Blue/Green deployments using CodeDeploy.
- Develop AWS CDK applications using TypeScript, defining ECS Fargate services, and creating CDK pipelines for automated deployments.
- Manage environment-based stacks (Dev/QA/Prod) and reusable CDK constructs.
- Containerize .NET / .NET Core applications using Docker and write optimized multi-stage Dockerfiles.
- Migrate legacy/on-premises .NET applications to containers.
- Build GitHub Actions workflows in YAML for CI/CD, including building and pushing Docker images to Amazon ECR, deploying ECS services, and integrating unit tests, static code analysis, and CodeQL security scans.
- Implement multi-environment pipelines (Dev/QA/Prod) using GitHub Actions.
- Utilize core programming skills in Typescript, JavaScript, C#, Dot Net Core, Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, PowerShell scripting, and Bash programming.
- Implement Datadog Observability & Monitoring, including agent setup, metric collection, log forwarding, and dashboard creation for ECS, ALB, and .NET performance.
- Set up alerts for CPU, memory, latency, error rates, and health checks in Datadog.
- Apply container security best practices and IAM least privilege models.
- Manage encryption and secure handling of secrets.
- Work with Amazon RDS (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and implement connection pooling strategies.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum delivery.
- Conduct cloud migration assessments and planning.
- Create architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and runbooks.
