About The Position

We are seeking a Senior .Net Developer with a passion for developing market-leading products. As part of a product team, you will leverage your experienced CMS and .Net software development skills to add significant features, resolve bugs, address technical debt, improve team processes, and ultimately deliver valuable, high-quality software to our customers. This role involves delivering large, clean, and maintainable features, solving complex end-to-end issues, and defining new approaches. You will be responsible for creating automated test strategies to ensure quality, leading code reviews with a focus on non-functional requirements and architectural principles, and taking ownership of security assessments to ensure best practices are followed. Advanced knowledge of Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and agile software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) is essential. The role requires experience in writing well-optimized software features, analyzing and debugging complex problems, and considering all relevant factors when deciding on technical approaches. Daily progress will be reported in team stand-up meetings. You will also research new technologies, present proposals for business facilitation or cost reduction, support quality assurance and business acceptance testing, and recommend business solutions by comparing in-house versus external alternatives. Maintaining knowledge of corporate security procedures and policies is crucial, as is preparing technical documentation and participating in/leading code reviews to ensure adherence to internal standards and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills and be ready to work in a challenging environment.

Requirements

Development skills in programming technologies in .Net/VB, .Net, C#, Java Script, HTML, Microsoft SQL server, Source Code Management (Git), CSS, Angular.io and SASS / SCSS
Experience with Cloud Products/Technologies like Containers, AKS, OpenShift etc.
Cloud based infrastructure, e.g., Azure.
Workflow: versioning, branching, merging, pull requests
Agile working practices, e.g. Scrum, Kanban
Contributing to CI/CD pipelines - e.g., Jenkins, Travis, CircleCI
Working in a DevOps environment
Clear and experienced understanding of software development life cycle procedures and processes, including agile methodologies.
Excellent troubleshooting, listening and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience using test driven development (TDD) strategies.
Experience with Jira and Confluence.
Experience with version control techniques using Git or BitBucket.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (or other container methodologies)
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other related field or equivalent experience in a senior software development role.
At least 10 years of experience in a software programmer/developer role of which 3 years must be in an agile environment.
Full Stack .NET Development, JavaScript, JSON.
Design applications using different architectures such as Micro Service-based architecture solution using Azure Cloud.
Extensive knowledge of .NET core and .NET Standard code libraries.
Active scrum team participation, creation and validation of tests using SSDLC in an Agile environment.
4+ years’ experience in project planning and software development life cycle methodology, including Agile Scrum/SAFe methodologies.
4+ years’ experience leading small to mid-size development teams
3+ years hands-on experience architecting, designing, and implementing .Net application running in Docker/Kubernetes in Azure cloud.
Knowledge of operating systems, utilities and programming languages as required by the type of projects assigned.
General knowledge of life insurance company operations

Recommend business solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of building solutions in-house versus external alternatives.
Maintain knowledge and understanding of corporate security procedures and policies for implementation, auditing, and documentation purposes as part of the software implementation process.
Prepare technical documentation and participate in and perform/lead code reviews to ensure that application code meets internal standards and follows industry best practices.
