About The Position

This position is responsible for the administration and management of a division of three-four homes and facilitating comprehensive programming, services, and evaluations for the assigned individuals. The pivotal task is the development and implementation of habilitative training programs based on individual needs and personal goals of each person. The Division Director facilitates the system of service delivery to ensure that the resulting programs/services are supported by both professional and direct care personnel; procurement of necessary supportive supplies, equipment, and services; establishment and maintenance of an atmosphere conducive to growth and development; adherence to policies, goals, and objectives of the Center and the Department of Health and Human Services. Work includes responsibility for budget, personnel management, record maintenance, and building maintenance. Must have overall working knowledge of Center procedures and processes to assure quality and service organization. Utilize staff assigned to the division to provide twenty-four-hour coverage, services, supports and training. Responsible for assuring that all task assignments are completed and of high quality in compliance with laws, standards, and personnel policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a human services or related field from an appropriately accredited institution.
  • Three years of experience providing services in a setting that serves individuals with disabilities.
  • One year of supervisory experience of direct care staff in a residential setting with the appropriate population.
  • Experience must follow obtaining the bachelor’s degree but may include volunteer or paid experience.

  • Considerable knowledge of management and administration techniques as applied to state government.
