About The Position

ViaQuest Residential Services provides support and services to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. The Developmental Disabilities Nurse provides nursing care and day-to-day support according to each individual's plan of care, working with a consistent caseload at a 2:2 ratio. The position is available full-time or part-time, with a 7 a.m.–7 p.m. schedule. The listed pay is $35–$36 per hour, plus an additional $4 per hour on weekends.

Requirements

• An associate degree or equivalent in nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• RN license.
• Valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Nursing experience in home care/home health, private duty nursing, long-term care, or disability services is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties outlined in the plan of care, including medication administration, personal care, light housekeeping, and day-to-day support.
• Support a consistent caseload with a 2:2 ratio of individuals.
• Communicate updates and changes in patients' status to the supervising RN.
• Maintain a safe patient environment.
• Provide emotional and social support and compassionate care to patients.
• Maintain current patient records and progress notes.
• Work as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
• Develop and establish a plan of care with a physician.
