Development Support Specialist, Signage
About The Position
The Development Support Specialist, Signage manages AutoZone’s store sign program through selected suppliers, focusing on quality, delivery, cost, and maximizing store visibility through sign placement and type. The role coordinates early sign planning with Real Estate to support timely placement announcing new store locations before opening, and works with Real Estate Exchange and Validation on permits and design issues. The specialist also supports the Project Support - Program Manager with other Owner Furnished Items accounts and may act as account manager for other suppliers.
Requirements
- Associate's degree (two-year program) or equivalent formal training program; Business Management or Advertising is noted.
- Two to three years of experience in Project Management, Design and Construction.
Responsibilities
- Initiate sign projects with Real Estate and Real Estate Exchange, coordinating with Validation on required permits and design issues.
- Submit purchase orders to suppliers, track progress, and approve invoices according to performance criteria.
- Conduct supplier inspections to ensure consistent quality within the scope of supply.
- Prepare for and attend sign permit meetings when variances are requested or needed, and resolve community or permit issues.
- Review pricing options and negotiate cost-effective solutions with domestic and international sign suppliers to obtain the best pricing.
- Enter accurate dates and keep tracking forms current and accurate to support signage and Validation efforts.
- Assist the Project Support - Program Manager by acting as account manager for other suppliers.
