About The Position

The Airborne RF Electronics Department has an immediate need for a Development Support Electrical Engineer I. We are looking for candidates to collaborate and coordinate with our manufacturing facility, Program Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to proactively and efficiently resolve issues that may arise during design, testing, and integration. In this role, you will foster a culture of trust, transparency, compliance and accountability. This position will reside within the Cabin Production Design Support section that supports the Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineer or equivalent degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) obtained prior to start
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required within 1 year of employment.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience with analysis of technical data, schematic drawings to assist in troubleshooting efforts and familiarity with standard engineering lab equipment. Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Linux, C, MATLAB, Python programming languages
  • Experience with fiber optic methodologies, standards, inspection criteria, equipment, and tools
  • Familiarity with hardware compliance of Raytheon Quality Notes, J-STD-001, and ISO9001/AS9100 standards

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting hardware and issues down to Circuit Card Assembly (CCA), server, switch, and/or component levels to include analog/digital/power circuitry and interfaces
  • Perform technical evaluations of hardware with the ability to categorize failures and systematically disposition failing hardware in a timely manner
  • Prioritize and execute improvement opportunities
  • Communicate to program leadership status updates
  • Partnering in the development of test equipment and establishment of test requirements and procedures
  • Ability to travel periodically to different Raytheon facilities, suppliers, and/or customer sites to support in-person meetings and system integration efforts (up to 25%)
