About The Position

The Effector Guidance Electronics (EGE) department develops electronics for weapon system products. We engage at the outset of the weapon system development and follow our designs through deployment. Our products are deployed all over the world, from the ground to exoatmospheric environments and into space. We are looking for individuals to support the circuit card design process, turning designs into robust and reliable reality. Individuals will interface with multiple internal stakeholders and external suppliers to develop high quality producible designs. Team members will be exposed to all phases of the circuit card lifecycle from development through production and will present their findings through program design reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical working knowledge of electronic components (e.g. semiconductor, passive and/or electromechanical commodities) and their application.
  • Board layout experience of single and multi-lamination boards.
  • PCB manufacturing and Circuit card assembly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to effectively multi-task

Responsibilities

  • Support the following areas: Electrical Component Engineers ensuring cost effective and robust parts are used to ensure successful products, by selecting, specifying, and determining application adherence for electrical components.
  • Interface with multiple internal stakeholders and external suppliers to develop high quality producible designs.
  • Evaluate risk and verification data packages that will support component selections and provide justification to program customers.
  • Identify parts to be included on the preferred parts list, drive usage of these standardized parts, provide recommendations to mitigate obsolescence issues, and identify solutions to meet customer component requirements.
  • Present findings through program design reviews.
