About The Position

EMD-Batimo is seeking a Development Project Coordinator to play a key support role in the design, development, and implementation of real estate projects. This role involves ensuring the technical and administrative coordination of various development stages, managing professional stakeholders, tracking deliverables (plans and specifications), and preparing necessary project progress documents.

Requirements

  • College diploma (DEC) or bachelor's degree (BAC) in civil engineering, architecture, estimating, project management, construction, or any other relevant field.
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in real estate development, project coordination, or construction.
  • Good understanding of the design and real estate development phases.
  • Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of project management software (Project, Dreeven, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills (French and English).
  • Team spirit, autonomy, and proactivity.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a multidisciplinary environment (architects, engineers, consultants) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of building codes and the regulatory framework (an asset).

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Director(s) in the design, planning, and development phases of real estate projects.
  • Participate in the coordination of architects, engineers, consultants, and other professionals involved.
  • Contribute to the development, review, and monitoring of plans and specifications.
  • Ensure consistency between concepts, technical requirements, budgets, and timelines.
  • Prepare and monitor design and development timelines.
  • Organize and participate in coordination meetings; draft and distribute meeting minutes.
  • Monitor deliverables from professionals and report any issues or non-conformities.
  • Manage project documentation (drawings, specifications, studies, correspondence, revisions).
  • Collaborate in the analysis of codes, municipal regulations, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct preliminary checks to ensure the compliance of plans and specifications.
  • Support the preparation of documents for permit applications, authorizations, and approvals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (estimating, construction, finance, operations, marketing, etc.).
  • Assist in tracking design-related costs and professional fees.
  • Contribute to improving project coordination and development processes.
  • Manage the setup and relocation of the leasing office and the handover to operations.
