About The Position

Core Spaces (Core) is a people company focused on building relationships and properties. We are a vertically integrated real estate investment manager founded in 2010, specializing in student housing and build-to-rent (BTR) sectors. Our residential communities offer world-class amenities, progressive design, and hospitality-driven service. We are seeking a Development Intern to support Development Managers in various project activities during the delivery of assigned Development Projects.

  • Moderate computer skills: proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Project) are highly recommended.
  • Must be able to complete all physical requirements of this role with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • The site spans a large area and will have limited access to elevators at times throughout the project.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience and exposure to Industries or studies in Construction, Architecture, Engineering, or Project Management, is highly recommended.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with project delivery and close-out, including Punch-List Review/Tracking/Coordination, FF&E (fixtures, furnishing, and equipment) delivery/coordination/installation, unit and common area styling, and assisting the Development Team during Tenant move-ins.
  • Assist with General Contractors Oversight and Management of documents, billings, and contacts.
  • Review & enforcement of contractual requirements for design & construction professionals.
  • Meet with contractors, architects, engineers & consultants to review projects' status and resolve issues.
  • Review & analysis of potential changes to budget or schedule.
  • Attend project meetings.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by the Development Manager.
  • Provide physical representation for Ownership on site independently to execute tasks requested by our partners and contractors.
