This role involves supporting Development Engineering (DE) tests in manufacturing pilot lines or performing testing in a lab environment. The technician will interpret engineering and technical instructions into actions and experimental outcomes, troubleshoot tool/process issues, and suggest system improvements to achieve performance goals. A key aspect of the role is the ability to design, execute, and present test data from experiments. The technician will also be responsible for writing work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for operating equipment. The position requires applying technical skills, adapting procedures, processes, tools, equipment, and techniques to meet complex requirements, and resolving non-routine questions independently. The incumbent will have ownership within their functional group of a particular operational process or equipment, overseeing its maintenance and training others. Additional responsibilities include tool setup, process optimization/development, operating and maintaining tools, performing scheduled preventative maintenance, and planning/coordinating engineering tests on the Yellowstone line, including coordination across team boundaries. The role operates under minimal supervision and requires compliance with all company Environmental, Quality, and Safety policies. Occasional flexibility in work hours and the ability to work overtime may be desired.
