About The Position

Cerapedics is seeking a Development Engineer to join its Research and Development team at its Westminster, Colorado office. The role supports the company's mission to advance bone repair by developing innovative biomaterial, coating, and product technologies for bone graft solutions. The engineer will design and evaluate products, develop materials and processes, create prototypes for field testing, optimize products for manufacturing, and help transfer technologies into production. Typical work includes laboratory research and testing, analysis of materials and product performance, prototype design, cross-functional collaboration on new product concepts, documenting results, and supporting scale-up and technology transfer. The position focuses on developing processing methods for ceramic materials and identifying useful properties in soft tissue materials; enhancing coating processes, including peptide coatings; and configuring hard and soft components into a range of bone graft product designs. The engineer will develop test methods, make prototypes, optimize manufacturing processes, participate in stage-gate decisions, establish quality release testing, and serve as a subject matter expert for technology transfer and scale-up. The role requires independent planning and execution, documentation compliant with standard good laboratory practices, and communication with team members and external contract research organizations. The listed annual base salary range is $95,000 to $136,000, with a target annual bonus of 12%. The posting states that it will remain open through 11/14/2026.
