About The Position

The mission of Ed Snider Youth Hockey & Education is to create opportunities for under-resourced youth of the Greater Philadelphia Region to prosper in life. The intended impact is that participating youth will become Snider student-athletes with age-appropriate social-emotional strengths and skills to succeed and contribute as students, employees, and community members. Ed Snider Youth Hockey & Education seeks a qualified and driven candidate for the position of Development Coordinator, which will be a full-time position of 40 hours per week. The Development Coordinator serves as the execution backbone of the Development team, ensuring all donor-facing communications, campaigns, events, and stewardship activities are delivered accurately, consistently, and on time. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a high-quality donor experience while enabling the team to scale its fundraising efforts. The Development Coordinator will manage the day-to-day execution of donor communications, digital campaign infrastructure, event administration, and cross-team coordination. This position reports to the Donor Experience Strategist and works closely with all members of the Development team.

Requirements

  • Entry-level role; 1–3 years of experience in development, fundraising, community relations, marketing, communications, advocacy, or related areas is a plus.
  • All candidates must submit a resume and a cover letter.
  • Self-starter who can work independently as well as in a team.
  • Strong computer and digital literacy skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, email marketing platforms, and online fundraising tools.
  • Experience working within Salesforce or a similar CRM/database system is strongly preferred.
  • Exemplary time management skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with an emphasis on interpersonal communication.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to interpret and learn from data.
  • Candidates are comfortable working in fast-paced and high-profile environments.
  • Experience with educational or sports-based youth development programs and general knowledge of ice hockey is helpful but not required.
  • Successful applicants must be able to pass the PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Background Check, and FBI Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.

Responsibilities

  • Executes all donor-facing communications, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness
  • Builds and deploys email campaigns, including fundraising appeals, cultivation outreach, and event communications
  • Supports the creation and distribution of newsletters and donor updates
  • Manages donor recognition and benefits fulfillment, tracks donor touchpoints
  • Coordinates the delivery of suite tickets and assists with suite hospitality execution as needed
  • Builds and manages donation pages, event pages, and registration forms (e.g., Qgiv or similar platforms)
  • Maintains campaign landing pages and ensures alignment with messaging and branding
  • Supports digital campaign execution by managing backend logistics and donor-facing digital platforms
  • Ensures all online donor touchpoints are professional, accessible, and easy to navigate
  • Coordinates event logistics in partnership with the Special Events Strategist
  • Manages RSVP tracking and maintains accurate, up-to-date guest lists
  • Supports pre- and post-event communications and materials
  • Assists with on-site event execution as needed to ensure a seamless donor experience
  • Serves as a central coordinator and scheduler for team meetings, timelines, deliverables, and execution
  • Maintains a master calendar of communications, campaigns, and events
  • Identifies opportunities to improve processes and increase team efficiency
  • Supports engagement across all active donors through consistent and timely execution
  • Helps ensure a responsive, professional, and high-quality donor experience across all touchpoints
