About The Position

Provides administrative assistance and support as a member of the Gifts team in the hospital's Office of Philanthropy, including support for day-to-day office operations, donor correspondence, and project coordination needs. The successful candidate will assume responsibility without direct supervision, exercises initiative and judgment. Contributes to a positive and professional work environment. This position requires a high degree of diplomacy and involves matters of a confidential and sensitive nature. This position may require flexibility of hours. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in office management or secretarial at an executive level.
  • Possesses a mastery of office skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Strong working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time.
  • Ability to work independently on work assignments.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and judgment.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Comfort communicating by phone and in person with internal and external stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to shift tasks to meet department needs.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Preferably with hospital experience or knowledge of medical terminology.
