About The Position

At House of Hope, we provide life-changing residential treatment and support services for individuals navigating substance use disorders. We believe in hope, healing, and community. In this role, you will be the backbone of our fundraising and volunteer initiatives, directly driving the resources that make our recovery programs possible. The Development Assistant plays a critical role in nurturing and expanding our network of fundholders and volunteers. You will ensure the delivery of flawless donor relations, manage gift tracking processes, and provide key administrative support to our grant and fundraising pipelines. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred (ideally in non-profit management or communications)
Prior fundraising or non-profit experience highly preferred
Passion for behavioral health recovery.
Exceptionally organized, tech-savvy (Office suites), strong written/verbal communicator, and comfortable with basic mathematical data entry.
Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable personal transportation.

Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end gift acknowledgment process; track and deepen fundholder relationships; reconcile donations with the Finance Department.
Research grant opportunities; maintain the grant database, deadlines, and reporting schedules; participate in strategic planning meetings.
Provide essential clerical and data-entry support to ensure efficient development department operations.
