About The Position

The Developer will work within the larger Enterprise Data Management group to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain business intelligence dashboards and analytics solutions on the firm’s BI platform. The role also develops and enhances data pipelines and curated datasets in the analytics data platform, including building and maintaining databases, schemas, and data transformations to support reporting use cases. The Developer implements reporting and operational workflow automation using scripting and APIs, and supports CI/CD and change management for BI and data pipeline releases. This includes promoting changes across environments and maintaining deployment standards and documentation. The role partners with business and technology stakeholders across investment, trading, risk, research, and operations to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate business needs into technical designs and delivered solutions. It also performs data validation, reconciliation, and monitoring to improve data quality and reliability, and drives platform best practices and user adoption.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field plus four years of financial services industry experience in the position offered, as a Data/Portfolio Analyst, or a related position; alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in one of those fields plus two years of such experience.
Four years of experience, or two years with a Master’s degree, working directly with financial professionals—including portfolio managers, traders, risk management, and other front-office teams—to gather, interpret, and translate requirements from non-technical stakeholders into technical specifications or implemented solutions, including testing and documentation.
Four years of experience, or two years with a Master’s degree, working with investment or financial platforms or their data sources, including Aladdin or Bloomberg, and market/reference data models and schemas.
Four years of experience, or two years with a Master’s degree, developing and automating data processing, analytics, or reporting workflows using Python, and performing structured data manipulation using SQL.
Four years of experience, or two years with a Master’s degree, analyzing and validating data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of datasets used for business reporting or analytical purposes.
Four years of experience, or two years with a Master’s degree, designing and publishing reports or dashboards across core data domains, including time-series datasets for trend and performance analysis supporting front-office risk management or investment management.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain business intelligence dashboards and analytics solutions on the firm’s BI platform.
Develop and enhance data pipelines and curated datasets in the analytics data platform.
Build and maintain databases, schemas, and data transformations to support reporting use cases.
Implement automation for reporting and operational workflows using scripting and APIs.
Support CI/CD and change management processes for BI and data pipeline releases, including promoting changes across environments and maintaining deployment standards and documentation.
Partner with business and technology stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate business needs into technical designs and delivered solutions.
Perform data validation, reconciliation, and monitoring to improve the quality and reliability of dashboards and datasets.
Drive platform best practices and user adoption.
