About The Position

The Contingent Worker (CW) will report to Corporate Systems Delivery Services and function in a dual capacity as a developer and project manager. The team supports model applications developed, maintained, and tested by the Investment and Capital Market (ICM) business division. The CW will work closely with ICM’s Financial Engineering and other teams, various IT departments, and upstream/downstream stakeholders to manage the project life cycle and deployments of the model applications/changes, associated project management tasks, and other administrative activities. The CW will follow the IT Enterprise Development Methodology (EDM) or other approved development methodology to stage and deploy the code to the production environment. The CW will also need to follow corporate project management standards and reporting guidelines for managing the projects. Upon gaining experience in this function, the CW may transition to report to ICM.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five to ten years of basic systems development experience.
  • Working experience in managing small to medium projects in an Information Technology development environment using waterfall and/or agile methodologies.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and focus in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with distributed technologies like Java, J2EE.
  • Experience with SQL and INGRES languages in Oracle, DB2, Sybase and other distributed databases such as ParAccel.
  • Experience with Unix, Solaris, and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with Unix shell scripting, perl, Python, Autosys, and SQL.
  • Experience in full Software Development Life Cycle methodologies and best practices.
  • High level knowledge of primary and secondary mortgage markets.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Clear Case/Clear Quest, GiT.
  • Experience of working with fixed income trading desks and modeling areas in Investments’ related groups is preferred.
  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • PMP certificate is preferred.
  • Freddie Mac/ Fannie Mae working experiences are preferred.

Responsibilities
