About The Position

Develop and test software modules based on client requirements, prepare project documentation, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality delivery. This role designs, develops, tests, and supports healthcare integrations using the Rhapsody Integration Engine. It builds interfaces between applications using HL7, FHIR, APIs, X12, XML, JSON, databases, and file-based integrations. Rhapsody commonly uses JavaScript for transformation logic and supports connectivity through APIs, SFTP, and databases. The role is located in Plano, Texas.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with the Rhapsody Integration Engine.
• Strong knowledge of HL7 v2.x and FHIR.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and XML.
• Knowledge of X12 transactions, such as 278, 834, and 837.
• JavaScript development within Rhapsody.
• Database skills with SQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with SFTP and file-based integrations.
• Debugging and production support experience.
• Mandatory skill: IBM Rational Rhapsody.
• 3–5 years of experience.

Nice To Haves

• Healthcare domain experience.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and API security.
• Understanding of integration architecture and interface engine patterns.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain interfaces using the Rhapsody Integration Engine.
• Design message routing, transformation, and validation workflows.
• Build integrations using HL7 v2, FHIR, JSON, XML, X12, and REST APIs.
• Configure communication points for APIs/REST, SFTP/files, and databases (JDBC).
• Create JavaScript filters and transformation logic within Rhapsody.
• Perform unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Troubleshoot production issues and monitor interfaces.
• Prepare technical design documents and deployment guides.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and client teams.
