Developer Advocate
About The Position
Sent is an infrastructure platform for sending A2P messages across SMS, WhatsApp, and RCS through a unified API. Its intelligent routing model automates channel selection based on deliverability and cost. Following a $12M Series A, Sent is hiring a Developer Advocate to serve as its technical voice among developers and help build infrastructure that replaces multi-channel messaging stacks. The role focuses on producing technical content, code, demos, posts, videos, and talks, while engaging with developers across platforms such as Hacker News, X, Reddit, Discord, and GitHub. The Developer Advocate will create useful tutorials and demonstrations, attend and host events, answer questions about Sent and its alternatives, and improve the developer experience.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience working as a developer.
- At least 1–2 years in DevRel, developer marketing, or as a public-facing technical individual contributor.
- Ability to ship code, build a working integration quickly, and explain the process in writing.
- A portfolio of public technical content, such as blog posts, repositories, talks, videos, or an audience built independently.
- Strong writing skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.

- Experience or familiarity with messaging, telecom, or API infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Publish technical content regularly, including tutorials, comparison posts, deep dives, working demos, and sample applications.
- Build and maintain a personal presence on X, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other developer media channels to grow an audience of developers interested in messaging infrastructure.
- Attend developer conferences and meetups, including speaking and running booths.
- Host and co-host events and strategic hackathons to embed Sent in the developer ecosystem.
- Own the SDK and quickstart developer experience end to end, and relay friction to engineering.
- Run office hours, livestreams, or other formats that engage builders with the product.
