About The Position

We are seeking a Dev/Research Engineer to join our team. This role involves product development, problem-solving, and collaboration with various internal teams and external suppliers. The engineer will be responsible for designing, testing, and documenting components and processes, ensuring quality and adherence to engineering standards. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and experience with relevant software and equipment. Requirements

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field
• 2-4 years of experience
• Structured problem-solving experience / familiarity (8D or similar)
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
• Close attention to detail, curious, drives to physics-based understanding of the ‘why’ for root cause(s) of issues and component observations
• 3D modeling and engineering drawing detailing experience
• Comfortable working with hand tools, lab equipment (microscope, measurement equipment)
• Familiar with Design FMEA, validation planning and reporting (DVP&R)
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Design, product development, and problem-solving meetings with suppliers, internal manufacturing, assembly and test teams
• Coordinate and conduct measurement, assembly and test planning
• Disassemble injectors, inspect, measure components after test, and compare results to pre-test condition
• Update engineering technical drawings and coordinate production releasing
• Provide routine progress updates to senior management
• Creo modeling
• Print detailing
• FMEA
• DVP&R
• APQP
• Analysis coordination
• Supplier CPPD
• Tolerance stack-up, O-ring calculations, bolted joint analysis
