About The Position

CoreCivic is seeking a Detention Officer for the Eloy Detention Center. The role performs routine duties under established policies, regulations, and procedures to maintain order and provide for the security, care, and direct supervision of inmates/residents in a secure correctional facility. Duties may take place in housing units, at meals, during recreation, on work assignments, and during other facility activities. The officer may employ weapons or force to maintain discipline and order and must be able to work any post assignment on any shift.

The officer is responsible for resident order, safety, and security and may work in interchangeable areas including armory/key control, housing units, kitchen, medical, and visitation.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED certification, or equivalent.
• Complete pre-service correctional officer training.
• Where applicable, hold a non-commissioned security officer license in the state of employment.
• Valid driver's license and clear driving record.
• Ability to complete required training established or necessary to meet contract requirements and/or standards.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities
