About The Position

Teph Seal Auto Appearance is hiring flat-rate detailers for its detail shop positions in Mesa/Phoenix, Arizona. The company operates detail and reconditioning centers in auto dealerships across the United States. Detailers maintain the store facilities and help provide high-quality service by responding courteously and promptly to customer inquiries and complaints. The work includes driving, detailing, and cleaning vehicles. The posting identifies Detail Specialist 1 for candidates with some experience and Detail Specialist 2 for candidates with two or more years of experience. Detailers wash vehicle exteriors with cleaning solutions; may wax and buff vehicles; vacuum interiors; clean upholstery and surfaces; dry surfaces with air compressors and cloths; and apply preservation chemicals. They may use dyes, paints, and waxes to protect vehicle leather or fabric, and may clean grease from engines or engine compartments. They must be flexible and perform additional duties assigned by management. Compensation is flat rate.

Requirements

Detail Specialist 1: some experience; Detail Specialist 2: two or more years of experience.
Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Ability to drive both automatic and manual-transmission vehicles.
Ability to learn quickly and work as part of a team.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
Desire to treat customers' personal vehicles with care and respect.
Willingness to arrive on time and stay on task during the shift.
Availability to work Saturday or Sunday and holidays when needed to meet production needs.
Ability to distinguish small imperfections and quality-inspect work.
Successful completion of drug and background screening is required for employment.

Responsibilities

Maintain store facilities to support high-quality service.
Drive, detail, and clean vehicles.
Wash vehicle exteriors using cleaning solutions.
Wax and buff vehicles using cloths and buffing machines, as needed.
Vacuum vehicle interiors and clean upholstery and surfaces.
Dry surfaces with air compressors and cloths, and apply preservation chemicals to protect against spots and stains.
Use dyes, paints, and waxes to protect vehicle leather or fabric, as needed.
Clean grease from engines or engine compartments, as needed.
Perform additional duties assigned by management to meet operational needs.
Inspect the quality of their own work and that of other team members.
Work with urgency, follow uniform and grooming standards, and provide courteous customer service.
