About The Position

The Detailer cleans and details vehicles inside and out, enhancing their appearance and maintaining high-quality standards. The role involves using cleaning products and equipment safely and effectively, inspecting vehicles for damage or defects, and keeping the detailing area clean and organized. Prior car-detailing experience is preferred, but training may be provided to the right candidate. The position is full-time, entry-level, and based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, with a day shift and no travel.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
• Good physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of car-detailing cleaning products, tools, and techniques.
• Excellent time-management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work at heights, and operate power tools.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents and safety rules.
• Ability to follow instructions and learn from past experiences.
• Ability to deal tactfully with different types of people and handle anger and frustration well.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in car detailing is preferred; the employer is willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean, wash, and detail vehicle interiors and exteriors.
• Apply polishing, waxing, and protective coatings to enhance vehicle appearance.
• Vacuum, shampoo, and steam-clean carpets, upholstery, and other interior surfaces.
• Clean and dress tires, wheels, and exterior trim.
• Use cleaning products and equipment safely and effectively.
• Inspect vehicles for damage, defects, or necessary repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organized detailing area.
• Safely operate a company vehicle, including forklifts and other equipment.
