About The Position

Bob Mills Mitsubishi is seeking a Detailer to join its growing team. Bob Mills Auto Group is a family-owned and operated automotive group serving the South Carolina community. The Detailer cleans and restores vehicles inside and out, inspects finished work against dealership standards, organizes and moves vehicles on the lot, and maintains a safe, orderly work area. This is a full-time position paying $16.00–$18.00 per hour. The role offers no weekend work.

Requirements

Valid driver's license and a clean, insurable driving record.
Ability to stand, bend, and lift in varying weather conditions, including heat and cold.
High standards for cleanliness and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Detailer or paint correction experience; motivated candidates may be trained.

Responsibilities

Clean vehicle interiors and exteriors, including washing, waxing, buffing, vacuuming, shampooing carpets, and conditioning leather seats.
Use specialized tools such as high-speed buffers, clay bars, and extractors to address minor scratches, oxidation, and stains on vehicle surfaces.
Degrease engine bays, clean trunk components, and restore exterior plastic and rubber trim.
Inspect completed vehicles to ensure they meet dealership standards for display or customer delivery, and immediately report mechanical or cosmetic defects to management.
Safely move, park, and organize vehicles across the dealership lot.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe wash bay and tool storage area in accordance with OSHA and dealership safety standards.
Work efficiently to meet deadlines and prepare vehicles for the sales team and customers.
Collaborate with service advisors and lot managers.
