About The Position

Lakeland University is seeking a customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to provide technical support and maintain IT systems across campus. Requirements

  • Knowledge of Windows and macOS
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Technical troubleshooting ability
  • Ability to support non-technical users
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain work authorization throughout the employment term.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree in IT or related field
  • Help desk or technical support experience
  • Experience with Microsoft 365
  • Experience with end-user devices and peripherals
  • Basic networking knowledge
  • Familiarity with endpoint management tools

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic networking issues
  • Provide technical support via multiple channels
  • Deploy and maintain endpoint devices
  • Support Microsoft 365 tools
  • Assist with A/V setup and support
  • Maintain campus technology environments
  • Track service requests in the IT service management system
  • Provide user training and support
  • Collaborate with team members and student workers
  • Participate in on-call rotation
