About The Position

A leading healthcare organization is seeking multiple Desktop Support Technicians to assist with a large-scale technology deployment initiative tied to a major Electronic Medical Record (EMR) implementation. This project will support the integration of newly acquired medical facilities and ensure clinical staff have reliable technology in place ahead of a critical system go-live. This is an excellent opportunity for entry-level IT professionals, recent graduates, or individuals with foundational hardware experience who want to gain real-world experience supporting enterprise technology deployments in a healthcare environment. Project Overview The project involves deploying and validating approximately 250-300 new workstations and clinical peripherals across multiple healthcare facilities. Team members will assist with workstation setup, equipment installation, imaging, testing, and relocation activities to ensure all technology is operational before the EMR go-live event. Successful candidates will work as part of a larger deployment team under the direction of onsite IT leads and will receive guidance throughout the engagement.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, peripherals, and workstation setup
  • Experience working with desktop computers, monitors, printers, or related devices
  • Ability to follow installation procedures and deployment documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift, move, and install IT equipment as needed
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work onsite throughout the project
  • Willingness to work flexible hours when required to support deployment schedules

Nice To Haves

  • Previous desktop support, help desk, field technician, or IT deployment experience
  • Experience imaging computers or configuring workstations
  • Familiarity with healthcare environments or clinical technology deployments
  • Technical education, certifications, or recent IT-related coursework
  • Experience connecting peripherals such as scanners, printers, signature pads, or similar devices

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure desktop workstations and related hardware
  • Mount equipment and connect peripherals including barcode scanners, signature pads, monitors, and other devices
  • Load and validate standard desktop images
  • Perform workstation testing and quality checks to ensure equipment is functioning properly
  • Assist with office and workstation moves, including disconnecting, packaging, transporting, and reconnecting equipment
  • Organize and manage cabling to maintain clean and professional workstation setups
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware, peripheral, and connectivity issues
  • Document deployment progress and completed installations
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure deployment timelines are met
  • Support healthcare staff during technology rollout activities as needed
