About The Position

Andy Frain Services is seeking a Level 1 Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. We are a fast-paced, service-driven environment, and this role is critical in providing frontline technical support to our staff. This position will help alleviate workload from senior IT personnel by handling routine support tasks efficiently.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of IT support or help desk experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows environments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and basic networking concepts.
  • Ability to communicate technical solutions clearly to non-technical users.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-service mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of IT security best practices.
  • Familiarity with remote troubleshooting tools.
  • Experience with hardware diagnostics and repair.
  • Knowledge of AV software

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows workstations, peripherals, and mobile devices.
  • Assist with account setups, password resets, and basic Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Support users with software installations, updates, and troubleshooting common applications.
  • Document and track support tickets using our IT service management system.
  • Collaborate with higher-level IT staff to escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Assist with new hire IT onboarding, including workstation setup and user training.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of IT assets
