About the position
We are seeking a smart and multi-talented Desktop Support Engineer to join our infrastructure and security team at Noggin. In this role, you will work with the latest technologies in a complex and challenging environment. Your responsibilities will include maintaining our ICT tools and technologies, as well as finding innovative solutions to enhance connectivity for our staff and customers worldwide. With a focus on customer satisfaction, you will provide internal support and maintenance for employee-facing systems and networks. Responsibilities
- Provide timely and effective internal support and maintenance to employee-facing systems and networks
- Support and maintain laptops, desktops, networks, phones, antivirus/endpoint security, Active Directory, and services such as Box.com, Google Workplace, and Teams
- Work with Linux based servers and a mixture of Linux, Windows, and MacOS desktops
- Solve problems and deliver smart solutions
- Establish a strong and trusting relationship with staff
- Roll up sleeves and get hands dirty to ensure the business is well-serviced
- Maintain ICT tools and technologies
- Come up with innovative solutions to better connect staff and customers
- Stretch oneself professionally and explore growth opportunities in DevOps, Software Development, Solution Architecture, or Enterprise Architecture roles
- Ad-hoc in-office requirements for 2-3 days per month in Sydney
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT engineering or equivalent
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience as a desktop support engineer
- Experience with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems
- Ability to support and maintain laptops, desktops, networks, phones, antivirus/endpoint security, Active Directory, and various ICT devices or software
- Familiarity with Box.com, Google Workplace, and Teams
- Proficiency in Linux-based servers
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver smart solutions
- Customer-focused with the ability to establish strong relationships with staff
- Meticulous and well-organized with attention to detail
