About The Position

WEC Business Services LLC, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Desktop Engineer in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location. This position currently offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site) with time spent in the Milwaukee office. This position is part of a job family (IT Infrastructure Consultant and Senior IT Infrastructure Consultant) where experience will be the determining factor. If you are currently in this Job Family, it will be a lateral move. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years of relevant IT experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field
  • 2+ years of Microsoft Configuration Manager experience
  • PowerShell scripting experience

Responsibilities

  • Creates and maintains custom corporate images for a variety of Windows-based end user devices.
  • Optimizes OS configurations for peak performance under different operating conditions and environments – physical/virtual, on-site/mobile.
  • Manages hardware standards and works closely with vendors to develop and maintain sustainable device roadmaps for all areas of the company.
  • Provides operational 3rd level support and troubleshooting.
  • Develops working knowledge of company-wide systems, equipment, and applications and how they interact to support the business.
  • Work assignments may include 24x7 coverage.
  • May require travel to other locations.
