About The Position

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost. We are seeking qualified applicants for the position: Desktop Engineer Located: Houston Summary The Desktop Engineer position will provide hands-on, in person, technical support for office workspaces, conference rooms and local IT infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring that employees and meeting spaces are fully operational through timely troubleshooting, setup, and maintenance of hardware, software, and connectivity. The ideal candidate will be customer focused IT support. This position is fully on-site and requires shift coverage within standard business hours, with occasional extended or off-hour support for events or system deployments. The role is integral to maintaining a reliable IT experience within the physical office environment. This is a contract position located in Houston, TX.

Requirements

  • Provide in person technical support for office employees, resolving hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
  • Set up, configure and troubleshoot workstations, monitors, printers, and docking stations in alignment with Venture Global’s standards.
  • Support conference rooms and collaboration technology, including audio visual systems, video conferencing hardware, and network connections.
  • Manage and respond to IT support tickets for the office, ensuring timely and documented resolutions.
  • Perform IT setup for new hires, workstations reassignments, and office moves.
  • Assist with deployment, imaging, and inventory of company laptops, desktops and accessories.
  • Escalate complex incidents as appropriate and collaborate with network and system teams for resolution.
  • Provide basic support of office connectivity (wired and wireless) and local printer services.
  • Participate in scheduled shift rotations to ensure continuous on-site IT coverage and support for business operations.
  • Perform patch and application deployment using MDM tools such as InTune, Jamf, Desktop Central or others.
  • Provide support in other duties assigned along with Information Technology ongoing projects
