About The Position

Wholly owned by the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin, Oneida ESC Group (OESC) is a holding company that provides a consistent, cost-effective common management platform supporting our family of companies united under common ownership. Oneida ESC Group has its roots in engineering, science, and construction. We are a family of tribally-owned diversified subsidiaries. We deliver Environmental Services, Engineering and Design Services, Construction Services, and Technical and Professional Services to government agencies and commercial customers worldwide. Oneida ESC Group has an immediate opening for a Desktop Administrator. This position has a primary remote work structure. The primary candidate will be located close to our Milwaukee office. Occasional onsite travel may be required to Wisconsin locations, including Milwaukee (primary), Madison, and Green Bay, based on business needs. The Desktop Administrator is an administrative IT role with a defined growth path into a senior IT position. This role supports internal staff by managing day-to-day technology-related administrative functions, including asset management, access requests, and employee onboarding and offboarding. The Desktop Administrator works closely with the IT Assistant Manager and IT Manager to support operational efficiency and maintain a high standard of service delivery.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience may be considered in place of a degree.
  • Prior IT support or administrative experience, typically in: Help desk or desktop support, User provisioning and access management, Technology onboarding and offboarding, and/or Experience working in a service-oriented support environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure (basic administration)
  • Familiarity with Endpoint devices (laptops, peripherals), Asset inventory and lifecycle tracking, Ticketing/help desk systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a support environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Entry-to-mid level IT certifications such as Google IT Support Professional, Microsoft fundamentals, or role-based certs

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line support for employee requests submitted through the help desk, ensuring timely, effective, and professional resolution of support tickets.
  • Perform administrative tasks within Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure, including user account creation, modification, and access provisioning.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records for IT inventory, equipment assignments, and asset tracking.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes by ensuring appropriate system access is granted or removed in accordance with company procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership and team members to support daily operations and ongoing IT initiatives.
  • Adhere to the 3PARS communication standard (Polite, Professional, Positive Attitude, Responsive)
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with internal staff, vendors, and clients at all times.
