About The Position

The Depot Operations Technical Specialist is responsible for supporting imaging, update testing and managing the hardware within the depot. This position troubleshoots issues and makes repairs on equipment in the depot. The Technical Specialist trains new hires as well as evaluates business needs and recommendations solutions.

Requirements

  • Must have an Associate Degree in a related field or equivalent job experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant technical work experience.
  • Advanced working knowledge and experience related to inventory management and equipment repairs.
  • Must be familiar with and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Advanced technical, analytical, problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced diagnostic and repair skills.
  • Working knowledge of JAMF
  • Must have the ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to good customer service.
  • Must have a positive attitude and be willing to resolve problems professionally.
  • Must be able to communicate with clients in a professional manner.
  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 35 lbs.
  • Must be able to walk for long distances.
  • Must be able to work at a computer for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have the ability to multitask and swap between multiple clients.
  • Manual dexterity to use keyboard to input information.
  • Must pass pre-employment (post offer) background check and drug screen.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • US Citizenship required due to federal government contract requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support imaging, update testing, and manage physical and logical hardware inventory within the depot.
  • Resolve tickets escalated to Depot by Service Now.
  • Understand basic Apple device troubleshooting.
  • Adhere to depot processes using ServiceNow and other depot tools.
  • Load operating system on computers using standard deployment and build procedures.
  • Prepare and ship hardware to correct addresses as needed.
  • Prepare returned hardware to be repurposed or retired.
  • Troubleshoot issues and/or errors.
  • Train new employees on repair and system-based tasks.
  • Evaluate business needs and recommend solutions in accordance with standards.
  • Evaluate and recommend process improvements.
  • Assist in inventories, parts ordering, shipping and handling duties to support the depot services.
  • Maintain regular attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
