About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Surveillance Security Officer to monitor security systems, identify potential threats, and help protect people and property. The position is located in Elgin, Illinois, and is full-time on Thursday through Sunday, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. The hourly wage is $18. Uniforms are provided at no cost. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended.

Requirements

• Valid Illinois PERC.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass an extensive screening process, including a background check and drug screening after an offer of employment.
• Strong report-writing skills.
• Sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills.
• Strong proficiency with technology.
• A state license if required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Document observed events and incidents by writing detailed reports.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Conduct regular patrols to help ensure premises are safe.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitors’ identities.
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious situations or emergencies.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
