About The Position

Foodera Technologies is seeking a Designer 1 to support the design and development of food-processing equipment through 3D modeling at its Idaho Falls location. Working under the direction of senior designers and engineers, the Designer modifies existing designs and creates simple assemblies while developing foundational mechanical design skills. The role suits an early-career designer who is detail-oriented, dependable, communicates clearly, and can manage several projects while following shop safety practices and maintaining professional relationships with customers, vendors, coworkers, and others.

Requirements

Associate's degree in Mechanical Drafting, Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Foundational knowledge of mechanical design principles and practices.
Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D modeling software and its applications.
Good computer skills and a basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite tools.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented and dependable, able to multitask across several projects, and able to follow shop safety practices.

Responsibilities

Modify existing designs based on engineering specifications and direction.
Create simple assemblies using 3D modeling software.
Work under the direction of senior designers or engineers.
Create 3D models and assemblies to support equipment design.
Multitask across several projects concurrently in a timely and professional manner.
Travel when needed.
Understand and follow all shop safety practices.
Maintain healthy relationships with the community, customers, vendors, competitors, and coworkers.
