About The Position
We have an exciting opportunity to add several Design Trainees this year! We have a 6 month program that allows early career selected applicants to learn the design principals needed to succeed within the fire and life safety industry. Allied will lead you for several months down the Sprinkler Design career path in: New Construction, Remodel, and Underground so we can select a department that fits you best.
Requirements
- Associate degree or certification in AutoCad, Drafting or similar coursework
- Excellent written, verbal communication
- Detail oriented with excellent organization skills
- Proficient in working with Microsoft Office Products
- Open to learning new methods, training and development skills
Nice To Haves
- Field experience preferred in Construction, Pipefitting, or Fire Protection
- Customer service experience preferred
- Previous exposure to the construction industry preferred
Responsibilities
- Dive into the department day to day tasks and be assigned daily responsibilities
- Become involved with hands-on activities that can include; working in various software, working on sprinkler system layout, interpreting code, and determining design criteria
