About The Position

This role involves reading architectural prints to create roof and floor truss placement layouts that conform to current design practices. The trainee will design roof and floor trusses using engineering software, ensuring accuracy and optimization. Responsibilities include specifying necessary hardware, maintaining job tracking sheets, sending approval letters, providing sales and customer support, and ensuring the workspace and plans are organized. The trainee will also attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information to others one-on-one.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Read architectural prints to create roof and floor truss placement layouts.
• Design roof and floor trusses in engineering software.
• Specify all necessary supplied hardware.
• Maintain complete and updated Job Tracking Sheets.
• Send approval letter to customers according to P&P procedures when necessary.
• Provide sales and customer support when necessary.
• Ensure office and plan are maintained in a neat and orderly fashion and all plans are logged properly.
• Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested by supervisor(s).
