About The Position

The Neuroscience portfolio, specifically the Cranial & Spinal Technologies (CST) operating unit, focuses on advancing surgical care for spine and cranial conditions through an integrated ecosystem of implants, navigation, robotics, imaging, and planning tools. The position requires a minimum of 4 days a week onsite to foster professional growth and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Mechanical Design or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Proficiency in creating detailed mechanical drawings and applying GD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5 and ISO standards.
  • Advanced CAD expertise, preferably in PTC Creo Parametric and/or 3DS SolidWorks, including detailing, assembly, surfacing, optimization, FEA, top-down design, and model-based definition.
  • Experience with Windchill PDMLink, including document management and ECR/ECO workflows.
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Design components, systems, fixtures, and support tooling for new and existing products.
  • Modify and improve designs to support manufacturing and field service operations.
  • Prepare layouts, sketches, studies, and calculations to support design proposals.
  • Use CAD software and related design tools such as PTC Creo Parametric, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, CATIA, Siemens NX, for design development and documentation.
  • Coordinate design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and suppliers to support reliability, manufacturability, material availability, and compliance with specifications.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and cross-functional partners to ensure designs are robust, manufacturable, and aligned with quality expectations.
