Design Systems Engineer ( Driveline System)
About The Position
Seeking an experienced Design Systems Engineer to lead system integration and product development for axle, driveline, transfer case, gear reducer, and 4WD/AWD systems. The role involves leading vehicle systems integration, architecture, and interface management; coordinating CAD packaging, design reviews, and virtual validation; managing technical risks and investigations; and driving engineering releases, change management, and prototype readiness. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional engineering teams, suppliers, manufacturing, and validation, and supports cost reduction, quality improvement, and production launch. The role also includes challenging design assumptions to achieve optimal technical outcomes, leading supplier technical reviews and integration discussions, driving accountability and alignment across stakeholders, and contributing to special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned. Required technical expertise includes vehicle systems, beam axle systems, independent axle systems, and driveline systems.
Requirements
- Experience in automotive systems engineering, driveline, axle, or 4WD/AWD systems.
- Knowledge of vehicle integration, CAD, packaging, and validation.
- Experience with DFMEA, DRBFM, durability, and engineering change management.
- Strong technical leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
- BS/MS requirement.
